CHINCHERO BOUTIQUE & TOURS has prepared for you a 3-Day tour Cusco – Machupicchu to the Wonder of the World.
Where we will know more enigmatic places within the city of Cusco, its typical streets, its friendly people, food, showing a mixture of cultures such as pre-Inca, Inca and colonial.
Finally we will visit the wonder of the world – MACHUPICCHU of which you will be fascinated and enchanted by its beauty, engineering, architecture and for being a mystical and magical place that it imposes on us.
Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO CUSCO – CITY TOUR.
Our tour starts from your hotel with the CHINCHERO BOUTIQUE & TOURS team. To visit Qoricancha, “Temple of the Sun”, WHERE THE SUN SHINED.
During the Inca Empire this temple was built to worship the sun God “INTI”. With the arrival of the Spanish it became the base of the Santo Domingo convent.
Then we will take you to Sacsayhuaman “satisfied falcon”, ceremonial center of the Inca Empire, built by the Inca Pachacutec in the 15th century.
This sacred place built with huge stone slabs and the way they built, transported and worked remains a mystery. It has been calculated that what we see today is only a small percentage of the megalithic structure of the Incas, after that we go to Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay; we return to your hotel.
DAY 2: CUSCO – MACHUPICCHU.
Our team from CHINCHERO BOUTIQUE & TOURS will come very early to pick you up from your hotel with a private vehicle to drive to the city of Ollantaytambo.
From where we will board our train that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes, through a long valley, where we can see different sacred mountains such as Mama Veronica, and we will also appreciate the meeting of two regions (Sierra and Selva).
Upon reaching the town of Aguas Calientes, our guide will be there to greet us, and then go to the bus station and take us 25 to 30 minutes directly to the wonder of the world – Machupicchu “ancient stone city”
Then our guide will take us approximately 2 and a half hours on a complete tour of the Inka citadel, you will feel astonished to be detailed its history, the meaning and the myths that surround it, as well as take you to the places with the greatest attraction in the different points that we will visit.
We will coordinate the time to meet in Aguas Calientes to have our lunch and to board our train back to Ollantaytambo and then we will transfer you in our private bus or van back to Chinchero to your hotel.
DAY 3: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT OR OTHERS OPTIONS.
Free morning so you can relax and / or walk through the Chinchero town.
Chinchero is the perfect place for all those people who want to be outside the big cities, pollution, who really want to breathe fresh air, feel the tranquility, the connection with the mountains, etc.
Chinchero is a very small indigenous town with many attractions that you can do or learn:
The entire process of Inca textiles (dyed with natural plants and others).
Visit the colonial Church, the Pocpoc water falls. 02 Lagunas de Piuray and huaypo.
Visit the archaeological center of Moray and the salt mines of Maras which is 40 minutes from the Hotel
In the afternoon or according to the schedule of your flight, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure to Lima or simply reserve one more night AT THE HOTEL.
