Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL IN CUSCO AND TOUR IN THE CITY.
- Your tour begins with a welcoming at the Cusco Airport by CHINCHERO BOUTIQUE and then to transfer you to your hotel.
- In the afternoon, the Chinchero Boutique team will pick you up from your hotel to take a tour of the city of Cusco “The city of Puma” that begins at the Colonial Monastery of the Santo Domingo convent, which was previously the Qoricancha Temple, also known like the “Temple of the Sun”, where the Sun shone. One of the most important temples dedicated to the worship of the Sun..
- According to the chronicles, it was covered in gold leaf and full of gilded representations of nature.
- Your next stop will be the Plaza de Armas or the main square of Cusco.
- Finally, we will visit the central market of Cusco, a wonderful way to discover the Andean culture and daily life. This vibrant place will show and delight us with its dazzling displays of fresh produce and fascinating local products, this could entertain us for hours.

DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY- TRAIN- AGUAS CALIENTES.
- Our tour from Chinchero, Maras – Moray to Machupicchu will begin Approx. at 8:00 am. and we will go to the land of the rainbow Chinchero.
- Famous for its textile and located at an altitude (3,800 m). We will visit local families to receive a demonstration of dyeing and weaving techniques (Inca crafts).
- Then we will visit the archaeological site of Chinchero and its colonial church.
- After that we go to Moray, an old building designed for agricultural research and studies of different crops.
- The salt mine of Maras, which is about 2 km away, a town known as an ancient salt production center believed to date back to pre-Inca times. There are more than 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountainside, which are filled daily by a small jet of water.
- Finally we will go to the living Inca city Ollantaytambo and then board our train to the Machupicchu town or caleintes waters.

DAY 3: TOUR FULL DAY MACHUPICCHU- RETURN CHINCHERO OR CUSCO.
- After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will be ready to visit the dream of our lives “Machupichu” and your guide will take you to the most important places within the Inca city Machupichu.
- That will really bring it to life by detailing the history, meaning and myths of this sacred place of the Incas of Machupiccchu and you will enjoy the Historic Sanctuary in all its splendor.
- Once we will finish to explore every single of corner , we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes and to enjoy our lunch.
- Your Guide will coordinate the time of the tren to return to Ollantaytambo and then we will transfer you in our private bus or van back to your respective hotel, Chinchero or Cusco.
Optional:
- Huayna Picchu Mountain: Mountain that is next to Machu Picchu. It is a 45 minute hike to the top. This hike offers unparalleled views of the famous Inca sanctuary and also panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous landscape.
- This activity can be done after your tour in Machu Picchu. The cost is $ 35 per person to walk. Arrangements must be made at least a month in advance, due to popularity.
- Difficulty: moderate to challenging
- Machu Picchu Mountain: it has the most spectacular view, it is a 1.5 hour walk to the top. Located southwest of the Machu Picchu citadel with a height of 3,050 m (10,007 ft), this hike offers unparalleled views of the famous Inca sanctuary and also panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous landscape. The cost is $ 35 per person to walk.
- Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging.
DAY 4: CUSCO – MOUNTAIN 7 COLORS- CUSCO.
- CHINCHERO BOUTIQUE & TOURS we will come to pick you up at 4:00 am; then we will go to the south valley of Cusco.
- The trip takes about 2 hours approx. To reach the community of Cusipata at (3329m / 12772 feet).
- Where we will have our breakfast and then we will continue an hour uphill passing indigenous communities between the mountains, until we reach the final point where our adventure to the famous mountain of colors will begin.
- the walk will last approx. 2 hours (most of the way is uphill). Or easier you can also rent horses that can help you in this adventure, during the journey you will be able to observe hundreds of alpaca and llamas and their local Quechua speaking people.
- Finally we will arrive at the point of our trip the Rainbow Mountain (Vinincunca) at 5020 mts / 16470 feet.
- Here we will stop to admire and appreciate the exceptional views in all directions and there are infinite valleys and glaciers such as the mountain or Apu Ausangate (the highest mountain in Cusco) and rare geological formations that seem to be painted with exotic colors by the hand of God.
- We will stop for about 20 or 30 minutes, the perfect amount of time to rest, have a snack, or just take more pictures.
- After that we will start to descend to the point where our Bus is located. Then we will have an energizing lunch and after lunch we will have a short time to visit some homes, where we will observe the local lifestyle.
- Here the native Quechua language is still spoken very well and agriculture and livestock is essential for their lives; Finally return to Cusco around 4:30 p.m. at 5:30 pm.
