Our 2 DAYS tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the Wonder of the World – Machupicchu created by CHINCHERO BOUTIQUE & TOURS is one of the most visited places in Peru.

We will know the sacred valley of the Incas like Chinchero, Maras-Moray and salt mine, which was one of the bases of the Inca empire in agricultural production.

Finally we will visit the wonder of the world – MACHUPICCHU of which you will be fascinated and enchanted by its beauty, engineering, architecture and for being a mystical and magical place that it imposes on us.

DURATION: 02 DAYS / 01 NIGHT

Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO – CHINCHERO – MORAY – MARAS AND MACHUPICCHU SALT MINES.

Our tour of Chinchero, Maras – Moray to Machupicchu will begin Approx. at 8:00 am. and we will go to the land of the rainbow Chinchero.

Famous for its textile and located at an altitude (3,800 m). We will visit local families to receive a demonstration of dyeing and weaving techniques (Inca crafts).

Then we will visit the archaeological site of Chinchero and its colonial church.

Then we go to Moray, an old building designed for agricultural research and studies of different crops.

The salt mine of Maras, which is about 2 km away, town known as an ancient center of salt production believed to date back to pre-Inca times. There are more than 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountainside, which are filled daily by a small jet of water.

Finally we will go to the living town of Ollantaytambo and then board our train to the Machupicchu town or Aguas Calientes..

DAY 2: TOUR FULL DAY MACHUPICCHU- RETURN TO CUSCO.

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will be ready to visit the dream of our lives “Machupichu” and your guide will take you to the most important places within the Inca city of Machupichu.

That will really bring it to life by detailing the history, meaning and myths of this sacred place of the Incas and you will enjoy the Historic Sanctuary in all its splendor.

At the end of the our tour, later we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes and then we will have our lunch.

Your Guide will coordinate the return time by Tren to Ollantaytambo then we will transfer you in our private bus or van back to your respective hotel, Chinchero or Cusco.

Optional:

Huayna Picchu Mountain: Mountain that is next to Machu Picchu. It is a 45 minute hike to the top. This hike offers unparalleled views of the famous Inca sanctuary and also panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous landscape.

This activity can be done after your tour in Machu Picchu. The cost is $ 35 per person to walk. Arrangements must be made at least a month in advance, due to popularity.

  • Difficulty: moderate to challenging.

Machu Picchu Mountain: it has the most spectacular view, it is a 1.5 hour walk to the top. Located southwest of the Machu Picchu citadel with a height of 3,050 m (10,007 ft), this hike offers unparalleled views of the famous Inca sanctuary and also panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous landscape. The cost is $ 35 per person to walk.
