3 Days Experiential Tourism – Casa de la Abuela

Chinchero Boutique & Tours gives the cultural experiences and experiential tourism of the peoples of the sacred valley located Chinchero at 12,000 ft. between Cusco – Machu Picchu with impressive views of the landscapes such as mama verónica snowy mountain, Chicon and Pitusiray among others.

Experience the daily life of the native inhabitants in this small community of the sacred valley  Peru, where our visitors can experiences the witness of the culture, heritage  and cultural exchange during the visits to the native communities.

Exploring the Incan site of Chinchero and Salt mines of Maras – Moray Incan terraces for some soft hiking in these spectacular places .There will be enough time to stroll around these magnificent ruins before being driven back to your hotel.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO CUSCO – CHINCHERO – FREE TIME.

• Chinchero Boutique Tours team will give you the official Welcome to the City of Cusco at the Airport or sacred valley and  then we will transfer you to your respective Hotel Chinchero Boutique and where you can rest and acclimatize to the high altitude of Cusco and also we recommend drinking a lot of coca tea.
• In the afternoon you will be recommended to walk and get to know about this indiginous comunity has for you like:
• Andean textile.
• Arqueological site of Chinchero. (No incluided tickets).
• Colonial Churche.
• Walk to wáter fall of Pocpoc by inca Trail. And others more.

DAY 2: CHINCHERO – LA GRAN CASA DE ABUELA.

• CHINCHERO BOUTIQUE offers you a great experience today with local families so we drive you from the hotel with private van  5 to 10 minutes to the  mountain with beautiful views of mama piuray lake until we reach the community of Ocutuan – Umasbamba where one of the host families of the community will be waiting for us, and welcome us.
• After that they will star showing their home, how they live and after that you can share also our gifts what we bring to them to the local families because Our people in the Community would love your bringing some gilf or school supplies or personal care items to donate to the community, because they are very poor and have very limited access to these types of items.
• After that you will have the experience of collecting firewood with one of the members of the family because it is the main material for cooking in the kitchen to prepare food based on Andean cereals, later on we will participe in taking care of the animals, harvest potatoes, dye wool, or learn their particular art of knitting techniques and other more activities.

DAY 3: CUSCO – CHINCHERO – MARAS MORAY – SALT MINES  AND OLLANTAYTAMBO.

• Our tour of Chinchero, Maras – Moray to Ollantaytambo will begin Approx. at 9:00 am. and we will go to visit to archeological site of Chinchero.
• Famous Colonial church and is located at an altitude (3,800 m).
• Then we go to Moray, an old building designed for agricultural research and studies of different crops.
• The salt mine of Maras, which is about 2 km away, town known as an ancient center of salt production believed to date back to pre-Inca times. There are more than 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountainside, which are filled daily by a small jet of water.
• After that we go Urubamba town to have our lunch (not included)
• Finally we will go to visit the living town of the Incas Ollantaytambo to know the most important altars to connect with energy of this area and after that we return to Cusco or you can board tren train to Machupicchu town or Aguas Calientes in case if you are planning to visit Machupicchu.
