Huchuy Qosqo one day trek

Overview

Chinchero Boutique & tours offers you one-day hike on the Inca Trail to Huchuy Q’osqo in the Sacred Valley, it is a beautiful option and is perfect for all those people who loveS adventure, nature, mountains; During this trek we will appreciate picturesque villages, beautiful adobe houses, flocks of sheep, llamas and alpacas. They have magnificent views of the sacred mountains, lagoons and  to feel absuluty freedom, tranquility and peace in this trek. Come and descover.

Itinerary

ITIRENARY

This trip to Huchuy Q’osqo site organized by Chinchero boutique & tours towards to the Sacred Valley.
After breakfast we go to the community of Taucca, where we will begin our hikes going up the hill, around 2 or 2.5 hours to the first pass 4100 meters above sea level. where we will appreciate a great view of Lake Piuray that will combine nature, the Andean landscape, the Andean straw, the lagoons and the original Inca trails; then we continue to the Pukamarca pass at 4200 meters above sea level, from there you can have spectacular views to enjoy the surrounding areas and immense mountains: Veronica, Pitusiray and snowy peaks of Chicon.

Continuing along the road, we will descend to Pukamarca village at 4010 meters above sea level, where we will have the opportunity to meet some local indigenous families where they live by farming and grazing sheep, llamas and alpacas; We will see the ancient original Inca trail that connects with the sacred valley through the Huchuy Qosqo Inca archaeological site; that will take us to the Barranco Puma Punku. They will lead us to a narrow corridor, between some immense rock walls, several bridges and stairs of the Incas. This canyon is absolutely magical and includes geological formations surrounded by majestic rocks and surrounded edges that lead the river to Huchuy Q’osqo at 3600 meters above sea level, we will explore and receive a guided tour, after that we will have free time to contemplate the mountains and valleys that around us.

After that we begins our hike down for approximately 2 hours to Lamay at 3000 meters above sea level. Lamay is a city dedicated to agriculture, where the best corn and livestock are grown. Later on, our private transport takes us to your hotel.
