HIGHLIGHTS:

This adventure is fun, challenging and full of adrenalin, but you will be rewarded with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains such a Veronica (5,860m/19,337ft), lush green valleys, stunning canyons, amazing ruins and portions of the original Inca trail that connect to Vilcabamba the last refuge of the inca civilization.
Of course no trip would be complete without a visit to the Incan citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the grandest and most enthralling sites to see in the whole of Latin America.

Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – ABRA MALAGA – SANTA MARIA (Biking and rafting).
We pick you up from the Hotel and we will leave the Imperial City of Cusco and head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is here that we will have our style breakfast.
We will continue on to Abra Málaga (4 350 meters) (14 160 ft), the starting point of our biking tour. After a short explanation to help orientate you, your guide will provide you with the necessary equipment for the activity. We will the begin our 3-hour, bicycle descent 9 km (5.93 miles) until we reach the town of Huamanmarca.
You will enjoy the different microclimates such as the highland, cloud forest, rain forest until we will arrive at the town of Santa María (1 200 masl)(3,937.01 ft.), where we will have our lunch and stay for our first night in a hotel.
In the afternoon we have the option of rafting on the Vilcanota River . This river offers category III and III + rapids.

DAY 2: SANTA MARIA – COCALMAYU – SANTA TERESA (Trekking).
We will start our day with delicous breakfast and then we will be ready to make the first day of trekking to Santa Teresa.
The first two hours of our tour we will ascend the terrain. On the way we will have several stops to learn a little more about the richness in flora and fauna of the area in which we will find ourselves.
We will also stop in some point at the local family house, where we will learn about their customs and traditions.
Later we will cross a section of the Inca Trail that connected the City of Machu Picchu to the last Inca refuge Vilcabamba. Here our guide will explain a little more about the history of the Incas and also the Incan communication system (the route of the Incas).
At this point we have the pleasure of experiencing some of the most impressive views of the Huancarccasa canyon, to see the majestic Salkantay Mountain.
We will then descend to the town of Quellomayo, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch in the local restaurant and then we have a little time relax in hammocks of the area.
We will continue the last two hours of our hike to arrive to the most crystal hot spring of Cocalmayo, where we will spend a while enjoying this enchanting place. When the whole group is ready, our private transport will take you to the town of Santa Teresa, where we will spend our second night.

DAY 3: SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES (Trekking & Zip Line).
After breakfast our adventure will start in Santa Teresa with the zip line (and later this group will be taken by bus to the area known as the hydroelectric), after that, we will have a typical lunch and after an other 3 hours hike we will get Aguas Calientes or Machupicchu town. Then we’ll have a family dinner and your guides will deliver the plan for the next morning. A much deserved rest so we’re recharged and ready for Machu Picchu the next day.

DAY 4: PRIVATE TOUR OF MACHUPICCHU.
- After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will be ready to visit the dream of our lives “Machupichu” and your guide will take you to the most important places within the Inca city Machupichu.
- That will really bring it to life by detailing the history, meaning and myths of this sacred place of the Incas of Machupiccchu and you will enjoy the Historic Sanctuary in all its splendor.
- Once we will finish to explore every single of corner , we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes and to enjoy our lunch.
- Your Guide will coordinate the time of the tren to return to Ollantaytambo and then we will transfer you in our private bus or van back to your respective hotel, Chinchero or Cusco.

The trek to the peak of Huayna Picchu: Huayna Picchu is the mountain that stands next to Machu Picchu. It is a 45 minute hike to the top. Going back down is quite steep, if you are scared of heights. This is done after your tour of Machu Picchu. The cost is $35 per person to hike. Arrangements need to be made at least one month in advance, due to popularity.
- Difficulty: Moderate to challenging.
The trek to Machu Picchu Mountain: It has the most spectacular view, It is a 1.5 hours hike to the top. Located to the southwest of the citadel of Machu Picchu with a height of 3,050 m (10,007 ft.), This trek offers unparalleled views of the famous Inca sanctuary and also panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous landscape. The cost is $35 per person to hike.

This tour starts when we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, and it will finish when we are going to leave you at your hotel in Cusco.
